California Courts – Resolve Your Case Self-Help Videos
California Courts is committed to providing fair and equal access to justice for all Californians:
- Resolve Your Case: Watching these videos will give you information about the law and procedures for resolving a specific type of dispute through the normal court process and alternative dispute resolution processes, which are usually less formal, less expensive, and less time consuming than a trial. They are available in English and Spanish.
- Resolve Civil Harassment Cases (Restraining Orders): If you feel harassed by someone, or if someone says you are harassing them.
- Resolve Small Claims Cases: If someone owes you or claims you owe them $10,000 or less.
- Resolve Unlawful Detainer (Eviction) Cases: If someone owes you or claims you owe them $10,000 or less.
- Alternative Dispute Resolution: The most common types of ADR for civil cases are mediation, settlement conferences, neutral evaluation and arbitration. Read more about the ADR processes, when they may or may not be appropriate, or watch a video demonstration.
