Pro Bono Pledge

The CCCBA’s Pro Bono Pledge seeks to mobilize lawyers’ time and money to decrease the barriers that block access to the justice system for so many. By each of us giving a relatively small amount of our time and/or income, we can make a significant contribution to our community and make a difference in peoples’ lives.

woman taking a pledge
The CCCBA invites you to commit to giving back to our community by pledging to do one or more of the following in the next year:

    • Provide legal representation or assistance without fee or expectation of a fee to person(s) of limited means or an organization serving the needs of persons of limited means, such as charitable, religious, civic, community, governmental or educational organizations
    • Contribute financially to organizations that support or provide legal services for persons of limited means
    • Volunteer your time in connection with a community service activity that has the substantial purpose of serving underrepresented and/or underprivileged members of your community
    • Volunteer your time to improve the circumstances of others and improve the lives of members of your community
