CCCBA Staff: Two Truths and a Lie
Jennifer Comages
Jennifer started working for the Bar Association on May 1, 1979 and has had the pleasure of working with many Executive Directors and a variety of co-workers. She has also seen newer attorney members get involved and the older ones step down and retire.
Jennifer wears many hats while performing her job at the CCCBA. Primarily, Jennifer assists members in all matters involving their membership with the CCCBA, such as ensuring their contact information is current. During membership renewal time, Jennifer assists anyone who may have a question or instructs them on how to renew. Jennifer also works closely with the administrators at the Sustaining Law Firms. Other duties include answering the Lawyer Referral Information Service phone calls and referring them to the attorney panelists (by the way, more attorneys joining the LRIS would be beneficial).
Jennifer is married to her husband Gabriel, and they have three grown sons. One son is married, and they have a wonderful autistic grandson. Jennifer’s parents lived with her and her husband until her father passed away in 2021, and her mother, who lived with Multiple Sclerosis for over 32 years, passed away in 2022. Jennifer also has a disabled sister who lives with them as well. Jennifer manages all of this while maintaining her sanity, though sometimes unsure how. Jennifer hopes to retire at some point to enjoy some fun and relaxing days.
