Welcome to the Board, Ray Robinson and Punita Bhasin
Ray Robinson, Esq.
While new to the practice of law as an attorney, Ray Robinson is no stranger to the legal profession. With a passion for helping people, Ray began his legal journey over 30 years ago as a trial/litigation paralegal. Often encouraged by others to become a lawyer, he didn’t do so until just two years ago! And what an amazing two years it has been. Ray jumped in wholeheartedly with the Contra Costa County Bar Association getting involved in many sections and committees. He was the inaugural winner of the Justice James J. Marchino Distinguished Service Award in 2021. Fast forward to 2023, in addition to serving on the CCCBA Board of Directors, Ray is the Chair of the CCCBA Pro Bono Committee, Treasurer of the CCCBA Barristers Committee, and various other CCCBA sections. In his spare time, he served as Guest Editor of the CC Lawyer for the July 2023 edition on pro bono service and was the driving force in the creation, development and implementation of the CCCBA’s new sister-charity, Contra Costa Justice for All. In recognition of his outstanding contributions in such a short time, Ray was awarded the CCCBA Board of Directors 2023 Star Award for extraordinary service to the organization.
