Temporary Judge Program
Serving as a temporary judge for the Superior Court is a great way for experienced attorneys to:

The Superior Court is in need of attorneys to assist with calendars including:
- Civil Harassment
- Discovery
- Domestic Violence
- Family Law (support only)
- Juvenile Dependency and Delinquency
- Probate
- Small Claims
- Small Claims Appeals
- Traffic
- Unlawful Detainer
Do you qualify for the Temporary Judge Program?
Temporary judges serve at the discretion of the presiding judge and are screened, trained and evaluated to serve as temporary judges pursuant to California Rules of Court, 2.810 et seq.
Eligible candidates must have been admitted to practice for at least 10 years and must satisfy other eligibility requirements, including completing a combination of at least 12 hours of online and in-person training every three years in judicial ethics and demeanor, and having knowledge of the substantive law associated with any calendar he/she might call.
